2019 Mutianyu Great Wall Trail Run by XTRAIL®

About Mutianyu Great Wall

The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is located in the Huairou District of Beijing, 73 kilometers from the city center. It’s 5400 meters long , 535 meters high on average. The Mutianyu section remained as magnificent as it was built in 1368 AD. It is the largest in terms of construction, and most well-preserved among all sections of the Great Wall. In 1987, it was listed as one of the “16 Most Beautiful Tourists Sites of New Beijing”. In 1992, it was ranked as one of the “World’s Best of Beijing Tour”. And in 2002, it was ranked “AAAA scenic spot”.

The Mutianyu section is accessible by cable car. Rich forest cover （up to 96%), perilous passes and closely packed stone road connected watchtowers, all of which make the Mutianyu section unique, special and one of a kind.

Race bib

Race bib must be attached firmly to the outside layer of your clothes or bag, and kept visible during the entire race.

Covering race bib, or any change of the bib

will result in disqualification.

Please write down your personal information and emergency contact on the back of your bib.

ANY VIOLATION ABOUT GEARS will lead to immediate disqualification.

Registration requirements

*Age

All participants must be at least 18 years old by 10th April 2019.

Children in Family Trail group should be less than 12 years old.

Children in the 10km group must be over 8 years old, under 18 years old, and accompanied by parents.

*Fitness

All participants must be healthy, free of high blood pressure, heart disease and other diseases that interfere with strenuous race.

* Experience

50KM:Runners in the 50KM category must finish at least one marathon or one 50km trail running race in the past 2 years before registering.

28KM:Runners in the 28KM category must finish at least one half marathon in the past 2 years before registering.

Race Bag Collection

The race bags will be distributed in Beijing, please take your photo ID and 500 CNY cash pledge when collecting your bag.

You can collect your race bag during the time below at the assigned location.

*The following material must be offered when collecting your race bag: A copy of a valid passport.

Insurance

The registration fee includes a basic insurance for the race. Please contact us for the insurance coverage details. Additional insurance is recommended but notrequired.

Route

Taking short-cut is strictly prohibited. YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL THE CHECKPOINTS ACCORDING TO THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ROUTE(S).

Environment

Littering, sabotaging the route marks and any damage to the local environment will lead to immediate disqualification.

Refunding Policy

·70% of the registration fee could be refunded if apply before 11/3/2019.

·30% of the registration fee could be refunded if apply before 11/4/2019.

·The registration fee is non-refundable after 11/4/2019.

Transfer Policy

a) No transfer is allowed after 11/4/2019 by email.

b) The request of transfer is only permitted when you can find the person who is qualified to take over your entry.

c) We charge RMB 100 to process the transfer.

d) Transfer will be processed within 7 days.

e) Transfer without authorization from organizer will be disqualified!
